Oh wow! Tolkien as Japanese stained glass windows! Now why didn't I think of that?

They remind me of Mary Blair - especially Sleeping Beauty. They also remind me of the stained glass window in Beauty and the Beast. Wonderful!
Those are some damn epic pictures. They do the book full justice!

It must be depiction from the film, as the book never mention about Sauron {The Eye} tower. However all the illustration was great. thanks

These illustrations cover the entire middle-earth franchise. Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. I downloaded'em alll and made a theme for my laptop, it looks pretty cool
