Living in a tiny rental with her best friend and two male students wasn’t what Tilly Chalmers had envisioned when she left her parents’ home. But with acting positions almost nonexistent, Tilly’s bank balance was decidedly light. It was when she applied for a job in security – not expecting anything as she had no experience – that she was shocked to find herself hired. The enigmatic Heller was the boss of the security firm, and the men who worked for him were tough, solidly built, no nonsense men. Then there was Daniel in the office where she’d be working, and young Niq. She was the only woman in the firm…

When Tilly’s assignments – first one, then another – became disastrously unstuck, she wasn’t sure if she was cut out for the type of work required of her. It was at times dangerous, volatile and hazardous – but it sure got the adrenaline pumping! Would Tilly continue to work for Heller?

Heller is the 1st in the Heller series by Aussie author J.D. Nixon and I quite enjoyed it. Plenty of action, some very nasty people and an intriguing plot kept me entertained to the end, and I’ll be looking at the second in the series. Recommended.
