This is the story of Piper McCloud. Ever since she was born-she's been able to fly. The first part of the story feels a bit Anne of Green Gables-ish. Very quite, serene country setting with the flying bit thrown in. Then Piper gets taken to a special school where things aren't quite what they seem. Gears change and the book feels like a chapter out of H.I.V.E.

Kind of strange genre mix here, but the book was still enjoyable and ends on a positive note.
