really liked it
bookshelves: book-to-movie, crime, series, own-it
I own a copy , read count: 3

No, it's not particularly well-written; yes, it spawned a frillion imitations; yes, Tom Hanks's hair was awful in the movie. But I still liked reading The DaVinci Code when it was the most popular book in the world. It's also the only book I own in two languages (English and French). What can I say? I like mysteries and conspiracies and race-against-the-clock adventure stories. Or maybe I just like when authors play around with the what-ifs of history. Plus, Dan Brown introduced a couple of new Paris landmarks that I added to the itinerary on my last visit to France, so...thanks for that, sir.
