really liked it

It only took a little more than 9 months to read. And I teared up in the end. Good book.

Tamahome Go Tom Go!

Buzz Park Would love to hear your thoughts when you're done... Maybe start a new thread? I just finished it a couple weeks ago; my first Peter F Hamilton book.

Buzz Park You doing e Audible or the Kindle or both?

Tamahome Hmm, it's got whispersync for voice too now.

Tom Merritt Audible. Thanks y'all. I'll give you my thoughts three years from now when I'm done, lol.

Buzz Park I had to delete a bunch of stuff off my phone just to get all 5 Audible segments to fit!

Mark Zug Tom, I think you'll love the detective stuff. I did the Audible version -- and it went really fast.

Buzz Park My goodness! Are you still reading this? Did you lose interest or is just because the audio is 517,498 hours long?

Tom Merritt DONE!

Rob 9 months.. It's like you had a baby..

Sonic Alpha lol, Rob. i was going to say the same thing :)

Tamahome Considering the size of the book, I think the review should be at least 10 pages.

message 14: by Tom (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tom Merritt True. And I should keep flashing back to the way I lived before the book, describing what led me to read the book.

Buzz Park Woo hoo! You did it! Think how much room you'll free up on your phone by deleting those Audible files! So, your final thoughts?

message 16: by Space (new) - added it

Space Seriously, can someone just make everything Peter F Hamilton has ever done into 10 years of thrice-weekly TV shows? So damn long!

Tamahome Now you have time to read Frank Schatzing's Limit. It's only 1227 pages.

Tamahome How about Winter's Tale? A paltry 768 pages.

Evan Hammerman I like long detailed densely-plotted books. This was the first PFH book I "read" (actually listened to thirty-four hours on Audible). There were passages that could have been cut, but then the story would have suffered without that extra bit of detail.
I am now actually reading the first Commonwealth book. I'm looking forward to getting lost in all of the detail.
