While contemplating the word play in hip hop, "Agenbite of Inwit" kept running through my head, and I recalled my first foray into Fin. I plucked it off my shelf and began reading from the "start." Soon I was reading aloud, to myself, now I'm entranced. In Fin, Joyce distills language so that one absolutely must hear it and read it at the same time to feel its full effect. Its full effect: deeper sensations than any classic narrative can evoke.
