did not like it

I felt like this book was very forced, as if the author had set out saying "I want to write a book that critics will like and that will be compared to classics," which, in my humble opinion is the wrong goal. I felt like the book was overly wordy and that, despite the contention by the author in an interview that, she "could sense a rhythm and trusted it" and she "saw the structure clearly", that the scrambled time line is random and forced without real logic. I have seen movies that the plot is backwards and I have read books with strange time lines (that jump around, or that operate in flash back, or many other things), and I have to say this is a bad example of how to do it in a way that keeps the story coherent and engaging.
