really liked it

Wedekind's bizzare play about the lives of children intrigues me more than any play I've read this year. The themes of the consequences of ignorance are so very much ahead of his time that today they still seem taboo. I also appreciate how he incorporated homosexuality into his play. Homosexuality! Imagine that! 1891 and this man was talking about being gay--the character of Hansy, while fleeting in his dialogue, is a powerful force throughout. Overall, I think Wedekind did an excellent job.
