Yes, yes, there's a movie coming out. Hi, my name's Andrew and I'm on the bandwagon. But I've also been a big fan of Cormac for a while, and this is pretty much nothing like his previous novels in its content. Stylistically, it's classic McCarthy, but he translates that style to a post-apocalyptic, unsettlingly abstract setting. It doesn't have the Gothic-Western quality of Blood Meridian or No Country for Old Men, but in its place is something far blacker and more spacious. This is the closest thing possible to writing the void.
