This book is absolutely hysterical. It combines witty wordplay, absurd situations, and insightful satire to tell the simple story of equality in education. Specifically, Esk, a girl, wants to become a wizard. According to "lore," wizards cannot be girls. Even if they do posses staffs of unimaginable power, can conjure fire, "borrow" the minds of animals, and see the dark things that await the foolish who tread in magic.

HIGHLY recommended!
