My final analysis of this book is that it's great. I can see teachers using this to inspire students to write autobiographies. Scieszka writes about everyday events like playing with his brothers and funny family stories in a way that makes it very readable. Lots of laughs.

2/23/09: Started reading this the other day when I was working in the children's room but I really got into it further this afternoon during Club Anime. I've always liked Scieszka's work and I got a chuckle out of his personal reminiscences. My earliest introduction to his work was, of course, "The Stinky Cheese Man" which I believe my oldest son learned about at school.
