it was ok
bookshelves: romance, humor

There were a few definitely-funny moments. I appreciated the effort of updating Pride and Prejudice (love that one) and it was a wonderful stroke to conflate Mrs Bennett and Lydia into the Pam Jones character. Just felt a little slapdash now and then. I've seen a bit of the movie and I do want to give it a proper viewing now. A little weirded out that Bridget compares Mr Darcy (in the story's timeline, BBC's P&P is current, starring Colin Firth) with Mark Darcy (who is played by Colin Firth in the movie several years later).
