** spoiler alert ** I appreciated the honesty in this book. People sometimes have a tendency to sugarcoat their thoughts or actions when telling stories about their lives, John and Cylin didn't do that. This book is a good story about appreciating everything for what it is. What I didn't like was the abrupt ending. I literally felt like I was in the middle of the story when I turned the page and it said "epilogue" at the top. Then it went on to tell what happened to everyone down to every last cop that was so much as mentioned...but never tells what happened to the kids. I guess it doesn't matter really, it was definitely a good read and a page turner. I imagine it's to protect their privacy, but Cylin was the one who wrote the book after all, so I was a little thrown off by that.
