bookshelves: modern-mysteries

I first learned about the Wallander series watching Kenneth Branaugh's made-for-television presentation. Faceless Killers is my first book and I have ordered the next two books in the series.

I am disappointed that does not offer the series on the Kindle but understand the difficulties with foreign authors.

It's a good read, but I have to say that Wallander is far more interesting than the crimes he solves. Separated from his wife, estranged from his daughter and plagued by diabetes, his personal demons more often taken precedence over the crime.

I'm also inspired to read the crime thrillers of Arnaldur Indridason, the Icelandic author.
