Erotic romance between a pirate were-shark/merman hybrid and a kidnapped were-seadragon princess. There's a secondary m/m romance between a merman in captivity and a human research scientist.

Literature this is not, I spotted lots of mistakes, and there is some clumsey writing. However the story is solid, the characters believable and I absolutely adore Daisy Harris' universe peopled with mermaids, gay mermen, were-sharks and aristocratic were dragons.

What's particularly interesting about this book in the ocean shifters series (other than the awesomeness of featuring a were-shark hero!) is the mix of m/f and m/m romance - usually these are kept separate we have Harris' Urban Mermen series for m/m romance and the other two books in this series for m/f. In this volume we get both in one, which might put some readers off.

Shark Bait is a bit of an oddity, but a total guilty pleasure.
