I was pretty excited that Rob Thomas commented on each of the essays in this book. His insights and some of the details the various writers picked up on were intriguing -- and made me wish all the more that "Veronica Mars" hadn't been canceled. That said, a few of these essays left me wondering what had been turned down if these were the cream of the crop. While I enjoyed reading some new ideas and theories about plot lines and technique, at other times I wished certain writers would have simply seen it as a TV show, calmed down and moved on (or perhaps not been so reminiscent of 10th-grade English class).
