Jessica oh I've never read it...I should, right? as I love her.

Nathalie You don't really need an answer to that question, Jessica, do you?

I love the format - short sections of Hansberry's journals, play scripts, letters, along with drawings and photos.

Jessica right, I'll look for it. I usually end up teaching her... A former colleague, from Chicago, met her, years ago...

Nathalie That's a class I'd love to sit in on. Oh, and can you write your colleagues memories down here? ;)

Hansberry is a great writer, and I know it's a cliche, but it was a great loss that she died so young. Just 34...

Jessica you know, my colleague did write a really nice piece about her, meeting her...I'll see if I can find it and post it here
34... such a travesty! tragedy.

Nathalie Yes, please, Chairy!

Nathalie I just found this - Pacifa Radio programme (1961) with Lorraine Hansberry, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes:

Jessica Nathalie, thank you so much!
this is of great help to me as I teach Baldwin as well (usually "Sonny's Blues").
