C I enjoyed this book but found that it was spectacularly familiar to me, as I tracked down my copy of Alfie Kohn's Punished by Rewards. I guess a teaching credential and learning how to manage classrooms of 30+ students gives one insight into how motivation works. Not to mention the applicability of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. That being said, some of the details and simplifications made it easier to navigate than an academic piece, and reminded me of my recent self-reflection on the effectiveness of work motivation through Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose. Pink breaks it down and throws in a cute tool kit at the end.
