This was fairly interesting and all around bearable book until it became painstakingly aware that this book was a redo of Hamlet.

If you are remaking Hamlet to farm life and dogs why would you have it end the same way? It makes the novel transparent and I could not focus on anything other than waiting for the plot to unfold. It was distracting. I don't see what Wroblewski was attempting to accomplish with the novel.

If you've never heard of Hamlet you will think this is great, if you have, I don't know what you'll think. I thought it was painful.
