it was amazing
bookshelves: baseball, historical-fiction, east-coast-us, 20th-century

This was a long involved book that held my interest the whole way, but I was somewhat disappointed that things weren’t better resolved at the end. I did like DeLillo’s themes of baseball and art—that carried the story, and his bringing in real characters and events. It made his characters more believable. I found myself looking some of them up to see if they were real or imaginary.
Life goes on, and in the end, most of us leave little impact on the world in which we live. Maybe that is DeLillo’s message.
