When new student Ben Carter arrives at Camelia's school, trailed by rumors he killed his first girlfriend, the first thing he does is save Camelia's life by pulling her out of the way of an out-of-control car. The second thing he does is touch her; then he disappears, and tries to avoid contact with her. That doesn't work when he's assigned to be her lab partner. (OK, is this sounding familiar to anyone??)

As she tries to find out what's up with Ben, Camelia also seems to have developed a dangerous stalker. Her friends and classmates are all convinced it's Ben, but Camelia doesn't think so. Will she and Ben be able to track down her stalker before it's too late for her?

There are a lot of similarities, but this actually isn't as much like "Twilight" as it appears on the surface. For one thing, Ben really is human... And the tone of this book is darker; in spite of her gut feeling, Camelia really isn't sure of Ben for much of the book. This is obviously going to be the first of a series though; I could have told that even if it hadn't announced it at the end, primarily because of the WAY it ended, or didn't quite end, as the case may be...
