Well. That was depressing.

I read this book with a sort of horrified feeling in the pit of my stomach, suddenly understanding the increasingly panicked tone on the post-its that I had found in the book when I checked it out from the library. Essentially, this book is what would happen in Atlas Shrugged if it were set 30 years in the future and John Galt had never existed. Or, perhaps he had existed but was brainwashed and tortured into following Party Doctrine.

I only gave this book three stars not because it isn't well-written or worthy of being read, but because even though it's a wonderful book (from a literary standpoint)I couldn't make myself like anything about it.
