I really don't know what to say about this book. I enjoyed it, but I also found it a little disappointing. I liked the main character's interactions with the Vampire, but I despised the exposition and other interactions between those scenes.

I had heard a lot of good stuff about this book. And a lot of it was true. But I found that the author's writing style, while very true to the character's voice, also lead to confusing sentences and descriptions which had to be reread on occasion. Because I felt so distanced from the secondary characters with whom the heroine spent so much time, I felt the pace dragged substantially in the first 2/3 of the book. But I enjoyed the plot enough that if there was/is a sequel to this novel, I would probably seek it out.
