A book about tragedy and the lasting effects it has on the people involved. I appreciate the idea put forth in this book that tragedy affects people permanently. That may not be an optimistic viewpoint, but it is honest. Psych care only gets a person so far out of the crisis, then the affected persons must adapt to having this tragedy with them always. No one is going to "cured" of tragedy. Adaption allows one to continue living, even successfully, but it is not cure.
