did not like it
bookshelves: dnf, romance

Ugh. Maybe it was because I came into the series with the second book and missed some of the back story? Maybe it was the fact that the author just couldn't let go of the fact that the hero was a big, strapping, dark, brooding, angry Rom (aka Gypsy)? Maybe it was because the heroine was introduced as a delicate little flowers, sick and weak from scarlet fever? Maybe it was because in the first 50 pages of the book, there were enough flashbacks to fill an entire episode from Dexter, Season 2?

Whatever it was, this book did not work for me. Too bad, because I love Kleypas and her other stand-alones are some of my favorites and ones I use to hook people on the genre. Ah well -- you win some, you lose some.
