I like short stories that help flesh-out the world of a well-liked series. This collection delivers several of the stories set in the Hollows series that have already been published in various anthologies etc., however, there are a couple of brand new shorts including one about how Al stole Ceri and how Trent stole his daughther, Lucy. this a theme? I really enjoyed these two shorts and do recommend them both. You get to see through the eyes of Al and of Trent and I really enjoyed them. There are also some stories that Kim Harrison wrote before the Hollows and that are not set in this universe. I didn't enjoy these as much. It's her Hollows series that I truly like.

This collection is a great addition to your library if you are a Hollows fan and you don't already own the other anthologies. Considering that most of the Hollows shorts have already been published elsewhere, it feels a little lacking in new material. For true die-hard fans of Kim Harrison's writing.
