I always feel like I'm slogging around in a thick and warm fog when I'm reading Virgina Woolf. This was the first of her books that I read, and I'm glad it was the first. The story is really intense emotionally, and it takes a while to read it, but it's worth every minute. Not a word is wasted, not a thought is left unexplored. May not be the best book to take to the beach, but it's a great book for curling up with a cup of hot tea in the upcoming fall.
