really liked it

Every bit as much action as the first two books, with Marquitz bringing The Blood War to a violent and explosive voice.

This book felt closer to Marquitz's other books in style and characterisation, while retaining that dark epic fantasy feel. The action sequences are much more fluid and dynamic, the visualisation is as graphic as ever, but they feel like they belong as part of the story rather than tacked on for 'gross out' effects.

This is a trilogy that hss come a long way since Dawn of War, with improvements made in each outing. Hopefully, now that his epic fantasy apprenticeship is complete, we see more from Marquitz in this genre
