it was ok

As with Daisy Jones and the Six, you keep wondering which real-life people the characters in this book are thinly disguised versions of and then just when you think you've figured it out, that actual person makes a cameo appearance.

I loved Daisy Jones for the music and the process of recording and song-writing, as well as for the seventies rock... This one is much more loosely about celebrity (and surfing), but there is the same human heart.

There are men who are idiots and can't entirely redeem themselves because they're just idiots. So it is largely honest.

And it makes we went to visit Malibu (despite the fires).
