I've read books by both Mr Preston and Mr Child and books by both of them together. This is one of the most horrifying of all of them, because it is true.

I'm sure the point of the book is to point out the horrors of the investigation into the series of crimes. The murders were horrific, to be sure, but the investigation is truly scary.

And the scariest thing is this; if you don't think this could happen in the US, think again! *shudders*
