I read this book when it was all anyone could talk about because he had just been "outed" as embellishing the whole thing. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I still liked the book. Knowing that some of it wasn't true didn't really matter to me. The writing style is very different, and it takes awhile to make sense of it. The book is written almost in stream-of-conscienceness, so a sentence will go on for an entire page. There's a reason he writes like this, but 1/2 way in, you kind of get tired of him saying the same "I'm an addict" phrases over and over. Yes, we know! Still a good read if you can overlook all the drama around it!
