it was ok
Read in January, 2009

I found the ending rather dissatisfying and perplexing. And I must be a bit out of practice in terms of reading early 20th century "literature" because some of the sexual subtexts escaped me. However, I did find the descriptions of the lifestyles and people of that time to be very interesting, I just found myself wishing I were reading this for a class and could have a professor explain some of it.
