Why did this book have to end? I want to live in the world of Croak, & I want Lex Bartleby as my new best friend. Trilogies (or series, or whatever) should be required to be released all at once so that you're not left frustrated & desperately wanting to know what happens next. Honestly.
Things are getting much, much worse in the small town of grims (that's professional grim reapers) in upstate New York known as Croak. Zara is still on the loose, killing & Damning innocent people in her attempt to get at Lex, & to make her give up a long-forgotten book written by the grandfather of all Grim baddies, called the Wrong Book. This would be bad enough, provided that Lex even had the book. She's still got to get vengeance for the loss of her sister, Cordy, but now all of the townsfolk are convinced that Lex is the one making their town a target for all the mayhem that's happened lately, & they want her out - as well as her Uncle Mort, the town's mayor (for now). Luckily, all her junior friends, including her awesome boyfriend/partner Driggs, are still completely on her side, but they may be the only ones - & it's putting all their lives in danger. Things are about to get even uglier.
