I wasn't as wild about this one as everyone else seems to be (the person who recommended it too me couldn't say enough good things about it).

I thought it was quite old-fashioned, as if had been written 20-30 years ago (a typewriter? Really?) and, after the first couple of chapters, the first 200 or so pages were very waffly and I found myself scanning. And then...

... I read the last 200 in a bit of a frenzy! Exciting, yes. Well-written? Not so much. A good stuck-at-the-airport book, I think.

Wendy I have to agree Keris, I was disappointed after all the hype I'd heard. Genuinely OK for the beach though.
