** spoiler alert ** Of all her books this one bothered me the most. Bella was emo through the entire thing because of a guy. That's not a healthy relationship, yet her readers are convinced that it is. She is completely unable to put Edward out of her mind and despite finding things to live for, she never wants to stop killing herself. When Edward comes back, she forgives him unconditionally despite all he did.

As usual, Meyer's writing is substandard. Her descriptions are corny and over done and only concentrate on a few things rather than the whole (IE eyes). She tends to not flesh out her human characters (other than Bella and Charlie... and Jacob if you count him). All of her other human characters are shallow and one dimensional.

I will give it to Meyer that she writes humor well. I often found myself laughing while reading all four of her books. If she stuck to writing humor I don't think I would think of her as such a joke of a writer.
