really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction, true-crime
Recommended for: Anyone with an interest in mormonism

This is the kind of book you might be tempted to throw against the wall. Not because it's bad, but because the information it gives you makes you so mad it's either throw the book or beat up the next person you pass on the street. If you don't know anything about mormons, this book will more than fix that problem.

Be aware, though, that this book concerns mormon extremeists far more than it does the average mormon. Granted, there is a lot of information about the evolution of the faith in general, and you can tell that the author thinks the whole concept is pretty ridiculous, but the focus is definitely on the extremists, and what you read will horrify you.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm not sure everyone will, but it's an eye-opener, even if you take into consideration the bias of the writer.
