really liked it
bookshelves: children, donated-gave-away

I had such rich memories of this book as a kid, and recently eagerly re-read it as an adult... and was a little disapointed. I remembered exactly what was in the story ~ the problem is that I assumed I had forgotten some of the finer points, and there was more to the story that what I remembered. Unfortunately, that was not the case. As an adult, I kept feeling as if there was a deeper, fuller storyline and C.S. Lewis only presenting the bare minimum.

Even so, a great children's book. Still entertaining to read as an adult, but it didn't hold the same magic it did when I was a kid.
