Someone, anyone, please confirm or deny whether I am half way through a colossal waste of tme.

Now that I have finished this book. I can confirm the answer for myself. Yes, it was a COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME.

Blah, blah, blah... Please Herman get on with it. Metaphor. I could have told that simple metaphor in 100 words. No stars given.

Leslie Hey T, It's probably not a waste of time if you notice the symbols (not that I can remember any of them right now) and simply enjoy reading an epic story. I remember being relieved I'd finished but glad I made the effort to read it. Does it help that this was loosely written off of a real story of sailors who were "chased" by a Sperm Whale (check out this link http://www.pbs.org/odyssey/class/moby...). cheers! leslie
