I love Richelle Mead! She is an wonderful writer, and continues to amaze me with Blood Promise. How an author can write something that completely depressed me, while still compelling me to read it...is beyond me! However, she managed it!

That being said...
Blood Promise was a little slow, and sadder than the previous books in the series. I was saddened by the "new" Dimitri, but I am happy to report that I was NOT saddened by the ending. :) The second half of the book has a nice blend of action, and heart tearing drama...

NOTE: If the first half bores you...skim it, because the second half is worth it!

I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys an author that surpasses MOST YA authors, and who has a unique spin on classic vampires. :)
