really liked it

The more I read of this series, the more I like it. Jane Yellowrock has really grown and learned over the course of the series, and other characters have also shown real development. In this book, Jane is less reckless, and spends more time planning and developing strategy and doing a better job of working well with others. When I read the first book in the series, I enjoyed it but did not consider it very special. (It seemed a little like a copy/variation on Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series.) With this latest book, this is becoming one of my favorite urban fantasy series. The author has struck out in new directions, and has given her character real depth.
