I found the choices the author made as to what to use to mark the passage of Sacred Time to be rather arbitrary and at times a bit vacuous. At other times I found the choices to be so obvious that they bordered on condescending. For me that's the one, two punch of turn me off! Still, you might not be bothered by it, so your mileage might vary!
