Who can I turn to? 4.5amazing stars

I went into this with no expectations or preconceptions. I hadn’t even read the blurb but agreed to read in hopes of getting a friend to read more. Also having never read or really watched any rendition of a Jekyll & Hyde presentation I was perfect virgin territory and never had a clue that is what I’d committed to. Oohh! The Hulk!

The blurb is intriguing enough to not need a rehash. As the secrets are revealed and the sinister plot thickens you wonder if maybe our leads meeting wasn’t really random at all. The insidiousness of the manipulation calls into question who and/or what can ever be trusted. “Hyde” puts the tortured in Tortured Hero and evokes many other feelings as he struggles to cope in this world. In any event, I found a new book boyfriend!

I loved the sweet romance of Mitchell Turner & Eden Colfax as well as the tempestuous part of their relationship. And let’s not overlook the sexy part of their relationship (hmmmm ……lusty)! They were both very likable characters together and apart and pretty much perfectly executed. The secondary characters offered great support in both their ambiguity & structure as they kept the story moving and facilitate action and story elements. I read this book so quickly, I was stunned. I enjoyed the every aspect of the book including the romantic, suspense and comedic elements that were woven in so well. The balancing of so many different threads and strongly drawn personalities could not have been done better. My only nit to pick is the wrap-up seemed a tad rushed and with this being an origin story things could have been wrapped a little neater. The writing and the plot were also constructed well and made me anxious for more of this author.
