really liked it

I really liked this book. It is the story of two sisters from a small town in Canada during the 1930's. One chooses a life in New York City as a radio actresses; the other stays in Canada. The book unfolds as a series of letters between the sisters and Clara's diary. It was so interesting to read about historical events that are told from the point of view of someone living at that time, rather than as historical events.
