it was amazing

My 10 year old son David told me about this book when he was in kindergarden. We checked it out from the library and we still check it out even now. It is a good read for kiddos that are having problems with fears and anxieties.
The author has several other book and I haven't found one that I didn't like. She comes from Russia and the illustrations depict her Russian heritage. Evidently there is such a thing as thunder cake. Maybe it's a Russian thing, but the recipe is printed at the back of the book. Hold on to your socks, it calls for crushed tomatoes. I've never tried it, but coming from a culinary stand point I can see where this would be acceptable in this particular recipe.
