Billy and Rene are continuing on the road of their young lives, and still hitting all the bumps. Rene is not quite to ready to admit who he is, as they both struggle to keep their relationship under wraps. We sometimes forget that twenty-plus years ago, it was so much harder to be out. Billy continues on his spiritual journey, realizing that the Creator is asking him to do some very hard things, letting go of his past, and moving toward a future with his brother. The author's descriptions of the ceremonies - incredible images created with powerful words. I've said in prior reviews, and still maintain that I love how much tribal culture she includes in her books. I'm sorry to see this series end, but all of the books have been amazing.
