An easy read that took me little over a day to get through. I liked it but am unsure of how much. I am going to be watching the film soon and am interested how it will be portrayed on screen as I think the way it was written was more enthralling than the actual storyline.

Cecily I saw the film the day after I finished the book. I thought the book was excellent and the film... OK.

The film makes no attempt (perhaps wisely) to show the conflict between people's motives/intentions (conscious and unconscious) and what they do, which I thought was one of the strengths of the book.

Also, in the film, it's easy to get the impression that the row after the play is a one-off, rather than the culmination of years of grinding each other down.
