FIRST READS WINNER giveaway (advance uncorrected proof) - In this mystery-romance, Detective September Rafferty and partner are in pursuit of a serial killer who after strangling and raping his victims, carves "Do Unto Others as She Did to Me" into their flesh. While dealing with her dysfunctional family (all siblings named after a month), and searching for clues, September (nickname Nine) runs into Jake Westerly (an old crush) who turns out to be a possible suspect in the case.

The book kind of fell short for me I am sorry to say. I did not find it very interesting or suspenseful even though the plot started out well. Overall, I found the entire book predictable particularly the romance between Jake and September. I am rating this book 3 stars instead of 2 because perhaps this is just not my kind of read anymore.
