Not a full-length memoir as much as a series of sketches from the life of actress and writer Carrie Fisher. She discusses what it's like to be the daughter of famous parents, a well-know drug addict, dating-marrying-divorcing-redating singer Paul Simon, and forever a geek icon (thanks to Star Wars). Laugh out loud funny and occasionally crude, Fisher pulls no punches when it comes to other celebrities or better yet, herself. A great quick read that's perfect for a rainy weekend or long plane trip.

Tamara I guess I know nothing about Carrie Fisher! Didn't know she had famous parents, didn't know she was a drug addict, didn't know she dated-married-divorced-or-redated Paul Simon, but at least I knew she was a geek icon. Thanks for catching me up on her life in 30 seconds or less!

Jodi Glad to help! :-) The book is a fun one if you have a few extra hours.
