Taut, efficient. Excellent laconic dialogue, well-drawn action, but most importantly a finely drawn argument about justice and law, and people who kill and what killing does to them. Not a big book, but a brilliantly wrought small book, which is a sight better than most. Hunger Games? Sheesh. COSMOPOLIS by deLillo? Worse written, inconsequential, and pretentious. Parker on form, as here, is really really good.
