The Sum of our Days, by Isabel Allende, narrated by Blair Brown, produced by Recorded Books.

This is an autobiographical journal done in Allende’s creative style. It is a journal written to her dead daughter, Paula, catching her up on what has happened in the family since the year she died. It is a moving portrait of Isabel and her family and the crises they weathered. She also discusses what led to the writing of several of her books. I hope we’ll hear more about Isabel and her wonderful family. Blair Brown does her usual brilliant job narrating this book, with Spanish accents for those who would have them, including Isabel herself.
